Even though a lot is closed down during this historic time, there is still a lot you can do from the safety of your house. Below are some activities and resources to keep you entertained and involved in scouting!
Boy's Life - This scouting magazine is being offered online for free this year. Inside you will find articles and projects to read and complete. Link to download here.
Face Mask - Do you have sewing skills or are willing to learn? Follow these instructions to make your own mask! There are also options for no sew masks.
Merit Badges - Check out this list of merit badges you can complete at home. If you find one you are interested in, check with Mrs. Yanity to see if there's a merit badge counselor and to get the blue card.
Scout Skills - If you want to learn knots, knife/fire safety or any other scout skills ask your patrol leader to teach you or check out videos online.
Cyber Chip - If you are going online a lot during quarantine this is a good one to have. It goes over internet safety and etiquette, and is also a Scout rank requirement. The requirements for Cyber Chip are here, make sure you do the ones that are for your grade level. Make sure to show proof of requirements to Mrs. Yanity.
30 Day Challenge - Calendars to keep you on the road to advancement, and achieve your next rank in 30 days!
Other Activities - You can always go for a hike in a local park, pick up trash around your neighborhood, have a campfire in your backyard, try outdoor cooking recipes, exercise or find craft ideas online.
*Make sure whatever you do is safe and following government guidelines to ensure we all are doing our part to stop the spread.*
